WRITER'S NOTES

I have to admit, I had a lot of fun writing this show. The Law and Order TV show has always been one of my favourite TV dramas. Now as the franchise has grown and more shows have sprung up, it would appear the viewers are still enjoying it too! So what better time to poke a little fun at the TV cop drama genre? I do want to say that this spoof is in no way meant to offend any of the hard working men and women on our police forces and in the ranks of the RCMP. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the dangerous jobs you all do.

What I am hoping to do is give you all a fun night of laughter and song as you enjoy the performances of this multi talented cast. I thank Peter N. for his great direction and Kristen and Greg for their staging of these super songs. As always, I tip my hat to the entire WOW Production Team for their amazing talents. I thank you our patron’s for your kind support!

Welcome to the Regina Tactical Training Centre Graduation Ceremonies! It is with great pleasure that I am directing my first show here at Celebrations. I have spent the last 12 years within the company, acting in shows, floor managing, ad casting, and for the last 4 1/2 years stage managing. I have learned in this time that nothing happens as a result of one individual, it is the concerted effort of a team that produces these shows with such consistency and talent. With that in mind I must thank the creative minds of all the production crew, each and every one of the hard working ad cast who entertain and serve you, as well as our esteemed owners and all the box office crew. This cast has been wonderful to work with and I thank them for all they bring each and every night. And finally huge thank yous to Randy for helping me to make this journey, and to Gillian for putting up with me during it. I hope you, our audience, have as much fun tonight as we did in the months it took to build Law and Order Canadian Files.
