Shane Chorneyko as Jake Barber

Shane is proud to be doing his first show with Celebrations, even if he is only 2/3 of it. You may have seen him serving in the past five years within Celebrations or he may have even talked to you as the floor manager over the last year. It's been a pleasure working here for so long and to be finally performing in a show. Shane would like to thank all his loved ones for all the support they have given him all his life. Like Uncle Charlie says, "it's not whether you win or lose, it's whether you beat the spread!" Shane doesn't get either, but assumes it has to do with sandwiches. Enjoy the show!

Andrea Bailey as Evelyn Barber

Hailing from the small town of Vernon, BC, Andrea left home after high school to study Musical Theatre at Capilano University and now resides in Vancouver. She couldn't be happier to be making her debut with Celebrations, and aspires to one day be as rich and sarcastic as the lovely Evelyn Barber. Some of her favourite credits include: Columbia in The Rocky Horror Showand Olivia in Twelfth Night (Project X) Mae in The Wild Party (Pint Size Tall), Gussie in Merrily we Roll Along (Exit 22 Productions), Female 1 in Forbidden Broadway, Maureen in Rent (Fighting Chance). Andrea has been heard singing on CBC Radio One with Brent Bambury. She is the recipient of the 2009 Vancouver Ovation Award for Best Female Gypsy and was nominated for a CTC Award for Outstanding Performance for her work in Forbidden Broadway. Special thanks to friends and family for their endless love and support.

Jeanette McDonald as Bertha

It's been eight years since I have been back to Winnipeg, and I am so happy to have been asked to come back and be a part of the Celebrations family. My last show was in 2003, when I played Endora in Betwitched. Other shows include Company of Three, Magnum PUI, and Agatha Crumblys - The Jukebox Cracked. In 2007 I moved back to my hometown of Quesnel, B.C. where I work as a vocal coach, and sang in three separate bands. Special thanks to Randy, Doug and Janet for having me back, and to a super fun group of cast mates. I look forward to sharing lots of laughs with each of you. To all of you reading this, thanks for your continuing support of this theatre. I sincerely hope you have a wonderful evening.

Ashley Weir as Rosie

An Edmonton native, Ashley Weir has had big dreams since she was a small child. Through out high school she pursued training in singing, acting and dancing, and upon graduation she predictably chose to attend the Theatre Arts program at Grant MacEwan University. As with most aspiring performers, the successful completion of her post-secondary training did not translate into instant success in the industry. By way of self-reflection and the constant exertion to stay afloat financially and emotionally, she increasingly turned to writing lyrics and musical composition. To her pleasant surprise, her heartfelt music began to attract positive feedback. The simplicity of her act; a young woman with a big voice and a little guitar, allowed for her creative spirit and inner most emotions to be revealed to all those who listened. With her music career put on hold she is heading back into the theatre for the first time since graduation.
